About
I’m Amy, a girl from Warwickshire who’s been rearranging rooms since I was old enough to pick up a paintbrush. Growing up, I was that child who spent every weekend shifting furniture, painting my sister’s bedroom, and restyling our living room. Interiors have always been in my blood.
I studied fashion design in London and worked in visual merchandising for brands like All Saints and The White Company, but at home I was always knee-deep in DIY. My husband James and I have renovated everything from rented flats to our own homes, and even ran a mid-century modern furniture store together. Over the years we’ve stripped houses back to brick, styled showrooms, and learned (sometimes the hard way) what works and what doesn’t. My style is eclectic but thoughtful, a mix of vintage and modern, handcrafted and practical. I’m drawn to things with a story: Mediterranean ceramics, embroidered textiles, English country garden colours. I love homes that feel lived in, loved, and deeply personal.
This blog is my space to share that journey: the projects we’ve tackled, the mistakes we’ve made (hello, leaky semi-freestanding bath ), and the tips no one tells you but you wish you knew. I want it to be honest, useful, and inspiring, not a competition, not a highlight reel, but a resource full of golden nuggets.
At the heart of it, I believe home should be a haven: the place that reflects you the most, a space where family life flows, where kids can run free, and where hosting feels joyful, not stressful. My dream one day? A barn conversion with beams, tall ceilings, and an open courtyard garden, the kind of home that makes your heart race the moment you step inside.
Until then, you’ll find me here with a coffee in hand (hot in the morning, iced in the afternoon), moodboarding, painting, and planning the next project. Welcome to my world I’m so glad you’re here!
